SUMMARY
Windows NT Backup does not recognize removable media drives, such as Bernoulli or floptical drives, as usable backup drives.
To work around this limitation, use the following procedure:
- Use File Manager to share the removable media drive.
Connect to the shared network drive from File Manager, or from Command Prompt using the following command:
net use x: \\<machinename>\<sharename>
Windows NT Backup will now see the removable drive as a network drive and will be able to back it up.
NOTE: The drive will not appear in Windows NTBackup unless there is a disk in the drive.
