CD Player Doesn't Play Multiple CDs Randomly |
Q103745
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Windows NT Server version 3.1
- Microsoft Windows NT Workstation version 3.1
- Microsoft Windows NT Advanced Server, version 3.1
SYMPTOMS
If you choose both Multidisk Play and Random Order, sometimes CD Player plays all of the first CD before playing any songs on other CDs.
CAUSE
This is the result of a logic problem and poor randomization.
RESOLUTION
You may be able to avoid this problem if you manually choose a disk other than Disk 1. Randomization then seems to work better.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 3.1. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
