Corel Draw 4.0 Fails or Prints Incorrectly with WPS

PSS ID Number: Q103479 Article last modified on 09-09-1996

The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Windows Printing System version 1.0 - Microsoft Windows operating system versions 3.1, 3.11 - Microsoft Windows for Workgroups version 3.1

According to Corel Technical Support, if you use Corel Draw version 4.0 and the Windows Printing System, printing a vector fill with a bitmap inside or textures inside a complex object may cause Corel Draw to fail or print incorrectly. The Windows Printing System driver may cause the system to stop responding (hang), or Corel Draw may display the bitmap in the top-left corner of the page and not inside the vector or texture fill.

To prevent this problem, use the standard Windows PCL printer driver.

This problem has been confirmed by Corel Technical Support.
