SUMMARY

If you try to move or copy an HPFS file or directory with a long name to a FAT partition, the following error message appears:

"File Manager cannot create directory <directory name>: The specified name is already used by a file."

This error message is generated because the HPFS file system maintains no short name for file or directory name conversion.
