ERR: Cannot Generate from This Version in FoxBASE+/Mac
Last reviewed: October 28, 1994
Article ID: Q100555
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft FoxBASE+ for the Macintosh, versions 2.0 and 2.01
SYMPTOMS
When you are generating a form in FoxBASE+/Mac, the error message "Cannot generate from this version" will appear if the FoxUSER file has not been expanded (it has a "chest" icon), or if the FoxUSER file applies to a version of FoxBASE+/Mac that is not running when the form is generated.
RESOLUTION
To correct both problems, you must reinstall FoxBASE+/Mac, which will expand the FoxUSER file and ensure that there is a proper version match between FoxBASE+/Mac and the FoxUSER file. After reinstalling, place the expanded FoxUSER file in the System Folder and regenerate the form.
If you are unable to reinstall FoxBASE+/Mac, you can compile the Format File from a template, rather than a screen, (as explained on page 8-3 of the "FoxReport Forum" manual) and generate the screen with the compiled Format File.cod template.
