Summary:
If you turn on the Mark Revisions option in the Tools Revision Marks dialog box and then delete a tab character, Word for Windows does not mark the space that had been created by the tab with strikethrough formatting. This is not consistent with the functionality of the Revision Marks command documented on page 604 of “Microsoft Word for Windows User’s Guide:”
Deletions are always marked with strikethrough character formatting.
More Information:
By contrast, if you insert a tab while the Mark Revisions option is turned on, Word marks the space created by the tab with the specified Mark New Text With character format (such as the underline).
