BetaArchive has a strict user policy. Only users who have been at BA for 3 months at least and have FTP access are eligible to apply for Wiki access.
Here is a subset of the rights users get.

Users who are not logged in

  1. Can read all pages
  2. Can view most logs

Registered users

All previliges of non-logged in users , plus

  1. Can edit all(except protected) pages.(one examole is the Main page itself)0
  2. Own editable user and talk page
  3. Have their own preferences

Administrators

All previliges of registred users , plus

  1. Ability to block and unblock users
  2. Can protect and unprotect pages
  3. Can partially modify other user's settings.
  4. Ability to create accounts for other users.

Bureaucrats

They have the most previliges. Currently only 1 user(the admin) is a bureaucrat. They have all the preveiliges of administrators , plus the ability for full promotion and demotion of users.
