The bot flag on this wiki allows users to not have their edits shown on Special:RecentChanges by default. This can be helpful when, for instance, large-scale changes are performed; in that case, setting the bot flags prevents 'flooding' of the recent changes and allows users to see normal edits easily.
Administrators may add and remove this flags for themselves; bureaucrats may add and remove it for anyone.
If granted, the time duration should usually be temporary, or otherwise the user must remember to remove the bot flag from themselves when finished.
