- Microsoft Word for MS-DOS version 5.0

SUMMARY

When printing to a PostScript printer with Microsoft Word version 5.00 using POSTSCRP.PRD, tab leader dots may not be properly aligned. This misalignment occurs even with the Courier font.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Word version 5.00.

This problem has been resolved with a new PostScript printer driver, which is available as an application note titled “Updated PostScript Drivers.” Application notes can be obtained by calling Microsoft Product Support Services at (425) 454-2030.

The updated printer driver (PRD) file is also available online as DWXPS0.ARC. It can be found in the Software/Data Library by searching for Q45512 or S12808. DWXPS0 was archived using the PKware file-compression utility.

DWXPS0.EXE is name of the printer driver file on the Microsoft Download Service (MSDL).

This problem was corrected in the Word version 5.50 POSTSCRP.PRD.
