Summary:
COMPRESS.EXE and EXPAND.EXE are file-compression and expansion utilities included with the Windows Software Development Kit (SDK) version 3.0. These MS-DOS utilities are provided for independent software vendors (ISVs) to use to compress files for distribution and to expand files at installation.
COMPRESS and EXPAND are documented in Appendix A of the README.WRI file that the SDK Setup program places into the Windows development directory (by default, C:).
