Summary: If an attempt is made to INSTALL COBOL.EXE, the error message “Fatal Error 0” appears. The Microsoft INSTALL utility interacts with the following files: RUNCOB.EXE VIEWCOB.EXE DEBUGCOB.EXE. It is never necessary, or recommended, to INSTALL COBOL.EXE.
