The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Access versions 1.0, 1.1
SYMPTOMS
When you are importing or exporting to Microsoft Excel using the TransferSpreadsheet macro action, the following error is generated:
Reserved error (-1310); there is no message for this error.
CAUSE
When the table name is left blank in the TransferSpreadsheet Action, Microsoft Access cannot determine the table to export.
RESOLUTION
To correct this, include a valid table or query that you want to import or export in the "Table Name" argument.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Access versions 1.0 and 1.1. This problem no longer occurs in Microsoft Access version 2.0.

Steps to Reproduce Problem
Create a new macro named ExcelExport:
ExcelExport Actions ------------------- TransferSpreadsheet Transfer Type: Export Spreadsheet Type: Microsoft Excel Table Name: (leave blank) File Name: C:\ACCESS\TEST.XLS Has Field Names: Yes Range: (leave blank)
- Run the Macro ExcelExport.
