HP PaintJet Formfeeds After Each Page with PowerPoint PSS ID Number: Q70357 Article last modified on 05-31-1991 PSS database name: W_PowerPt

WINDOWS

Summary:

When printing a presentation from PowerPoint to a Hewlett-Packard (HP) PaintJet, the printer will formfeed a sheet of paper after each page. This behavior will occur when printing slides, overheads, or notes from PowerPoint, even if it does not occur in other Windows applications. This only occurs with the PaintJet driver that ships with Windows 3.00 and is fixed with the HP PaintJet driver version 1.01 that is available from Hewlett-Packard.

More Information:

To prevent this from happening, reduce the slide area in the Slide Setup dialog box (choose Slide Setup from the File menu). Instead of Full Printer Page, select Custom Size and enter a size slightly smaller than the default.

The Hewlett-Packard (HP) PaintJet printer driver for Windows 3.0 is available from HP’s fulfillment center by calling (303) 353-7650.
