SYMPTOMS
After you include the Msmd.h file in a Microsoft Visual C++ application, you still cannot obtain the GUIDs for the new schema rowsets that were introduced in Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services.
Note The Msmd.h file is a Visual C++ header file that contains the GUIDs for the schema rowsets that are supported in Analysis Services. The Msmd.h file is located in the following folder:
SQL05Install:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\SDK\Include
SQL05Install is the folder where you installed SQL Server 2005.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because the GUIDs for the new schema rowsets are not included in the Msmd.h file.
RESOLUTION
Service pack information
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft SQL Server 2005. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

WORKAROUND
A new Msmd.h file is available. This file contains the GUIDs for the new schema rowsets that were introduced in Analysis Services. You can download the new Msmd.h file and then put the file in the following folder to overwrite the original file:
SQL05Install:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\SDK\Include
To obtain the new Msmd.h file, download the Msmd.h file from the Microsoft Download Center.
