This is the offical RC2 build of Windows Vista.
Release
This build is not only the offical RC2 build of Windows Vista but also the last build of the Vista beta versions that has a timebomb. The boot screen here uses the RTM bootscreen.However,it was released after the first Pre-RTM build 5738. The Windows SideShow Icon has been changed and the RSS logo in one of the sidebar gadgets.
Fixes
If you install this build in VMware, you can enable aero (for Home Premium, Business and Ultimate, for Home Basic only the non-transparant aero is enabled), Starter does not support it. Follow these steps to enable it: Set Composition Policy in the Registry: Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM and set CompositionPolicy to 2. Install the VMware Video Drivers: Get the Windows WDDM Driver for VMware Workstation from the download page here and install the WDDM Driver Package for the correct architecture.
