Build 2499 is a Beta 3 candidate build of Windows ME. According to Paul Thurrott's SuperSite for Windows it was released to testers on 27th March 2000 and featured a new look of setup, an image preview application and Windows Media Player 7, but was slow, buggy and hard to use.
