This build does not support USB, whether they be 95, 98 or ME drivers, they will never work. Drivers for Windows 95/98 are said to be for an older version of Windows and ones that were designed for Windows ME RTM are said to be for a later version (or are incompatible).
USB support is an issue with this build. When trying to install Windows 95/98 compatible drivers on the build, a dialog comes up stating it's "for an older version of Windows." When installing drivers originally designed for Windows ME build 3000, they complain they are too new or just crash when starting. Because of it's proximity to build 2222A, it's more like Windows 98 Second Edition which did not have USB support. Future Windows ME builds most likely had gained generic USB support.

Windows ME build 2332.2 is widely known for containing files from Microsoft NepTune. 29 files are versioned 5.50.5022.1 and branded Microsoft (R) Neptune(TM) Operating System. Microsoft NepTune was going to be the consumer successor of Windows 98 and NT successor of Windows NT 5.0 at the time (which was later renamed to Windows 2000), which explains why. Windows ME was made up at the last second and was the last 9x release by Microsoft.
