Just like the [[Windows 1.0/Development Release 1|previous]], this build was launched from a file called <code>DEMO.BAT</code>, and was ran from a single 5,25" floppy disk. It can be seen that this build uses the <code>.MOD</code> extension and thus predates the [[wikipedia:New Executable|NE]] executable format. This remains until [[Windows 1.0/Development Release 5|Development Release #5]].

Development Release #2 is a pre-release build of Windows 1.0, compiled sometime in June 1984.

Overview

This build, respectively its Tandy 2000 variant, was demonstrated at a Boston Computer Society meeting in June 1984.[1] Just like the previous, this build was launched from a file called DEMO.BAT, and was ran from a single 5,25" floppy disk.

For some reason, the Clipboard application wasn't included with the demo.
