SYMPTOMS
When you open an e-mail message in Microsoft Office Outlook 2003, the body of the message may appear to be blank.
CAUSE
This problem may occur when the following conditions are true:
- The message format of the e-mail message is Plain Text.
- You open the e-mail message from a personal folders (.pst) file.
- The .pst file was created in Microsoft Outlook 2000.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, install Microsoft Office 2003 Service Pack 2. For more information about Office 2003 Service Pack 2, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

After you install Office 2003 Service Pack 2, messages that were affected by this problem appear correctly in Outlook 2003.
Note Messages that are affected by this problem appear correctly in Outlook 2000.
