SYMPTOMS

When you try to install Microsoft Windows XP, the computer stops responding (hangs). This symptom occurs during the early part of text-mode Setup, immediately after the following message disappears:

Press F2 to run Automated System Recovery (ASR)

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, follow these steps:

  1. Create a shared resource to distribute Windows XP.
