SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Business Solutions CRM 1.2 Reports, you click Print to generate one of the following Activity and Notes reports:

  • Account Activity and Notes
  • Case Activity and Notes
  • Contact Activity and Notes
  • Opportunity Activity and Notes

When you click Next Page, you may not see any records after the first page of the report.

CAUSE

These reports do not correctly group the activities and the notes when the number of activities or of notes for an individual record exceeds one page.

RESOLUTION

Microsoft CRM has a fix for this problem that is part of a cumulative update. The cumulative update information is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

Steps to reproduce the behavior

The following steps apply to the Account Activity and Notes report. However, this same problem occurs when you use any one of the reports that are listed in the "Symptoms" section.

  1. Open Microsoft CRM, click Reports, click Sales Reports, and then click Account Reports.
  2. Click the Account Activity and Notes report.
  3. After the first page of records is displayed, click Next Page to move to the next page.

Note To reproduce this behavior, you must enter enough activities and notes for the account to display more than a page of results on the Account Activity and Note report.
