INTRODUCTION
This article describes how to let Microsoft Office Project Professional 2003 connect to your Project Server that is located in the intranet zone so that you do not receive a prompt to add the Project Server as a trusted site.

As a security feature, when you log on to Project Professional 2003 and connect to your Project Server that is located on your intranet, you are prompted to add the Project Server as a trusted site. This security feature is by design in Project Professional 2003.

To prevent the prompt to add your Project Server as a trusted site, install Microsoft Office Project 2003 Service Pack 1.

After you install this service pack, add the Enable untrusted intranet zone access to Project server registry subkey. To do this, follow these steps.
Note The addition of the Enable untrusted intranet zone access to Project server registry subkey will prevent you from receiving the security prompt only if the Project Server is located on your intranet. If the Project Server is not located on your intranet, you will still receive the prompt, and you will must add the Project Server as a trusted site.
- Quit Project Professional 2003.
- Click Start, and then click Run.
- In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.
- Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\MS Project\Options\General
- After you select the subkey that is specified in step 4, point to New on the Edit menu, and then click DWORD Value.
- Type Enable untrusted intranet zone access to Project server, and then press ENTER.
- Right-click Enable untrusted intranet zone access to Project server, and then click Modify.
- In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
- On the File menu, click Exit to quit Registry Editor.
