SYMPTOMS
When you try to import data from Microsoft Active Directory, you may receive the following error message:
CAUSE
This issue may occur if you are using Microsoft Visio on a Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me)-based computer.
This issue occurs because Windows Millennium Edition (Me) does not include Active Directory Client Extension product for use with the Microsoft Windows 2000 Active Directory service.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, install the Active Directory Client Extension on the Windows Millennium Edition (Me)-based computer. Although Windows Millennium Edition (Me) does not support the Microsoft Windows 98 Active Directory Client Extension, nor does it include the more advanced features available in Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional, you may be able to install the Active Directory Client Extension on a Windows Millennium Edition (Me)-based computer for testing purposes. Microsoft provides this workaround for advanced users who regularly test unsupported software configurations.
