SYMPTOMS
When you install Microsoft Office 2000, Service Release 1 (SR-1), the following error message appears:
When you click OK, the Setup program completes successfully.
CAUSE
This problem occurs when you do the following:
- You remove Microsoft Office 2000 or Microsoft Office 2000, Service Release 1 (SR-1).
- You run the Office 2000 File and Registry Eraser Utility, version 2.0.
- You install Microsoft Office 2000, Service Release 1 (SR-1).

RESOLUTION
This problem was corrected in the Office 2000 File and Registry Eraser Utility version 2.1.
