When a DTS Package containing an OLAP Processing task is canceled while processing an OLAP object it may cause errors later when attempting to run the DTS Package. The following error message appears:

Package Error
Object doesn't support this property or method.


Stopping and restarting the MSSQLServerOLAPService service clears the error.


Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server 7.0. This problem has been corrected in U.S. Service Pack 2 for Microsoft SQL Server 7.0. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
