SYMPTOMS
If you set the language of your Word document to a different language and then run the Letter Wizard (on the Tools menu, click Letter Wizard), only one page design (Normal) may be listed in the Choose a page design list on the Letter Format tab.
This problem occurs when you set the language of your Word document to any of the following languages:
- French (Belgium)
- French (Cameroon)
- French (Canada)
- French (Cote d'Ivoire)
- French (Democratic Republic of the Congo)
- French (France)
- French (Luxembourg)
- French (Mali)
- French (Monaco)
- French (Reunion)
- French (Senegal)
- French (Switzerland)
- French (West Indies)
- German (Austria)
- German (Germany)
- German (Liechtenstein)
- German (Luxembourg)
- German (Switzerland)
NOTE: To set the language of your Word document, click Select All on the Edit menu and then point to Language on the Tools menu and click Set Language.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, use one of the following methods:
Method 1: Run the Letter Wizard Before Setting the Text Language
Do not set the language of your Word document before you run the Letter Wizard. Instead, run the Letter Wizard first, and then format your text for the language you want.
Method 2: Install the Microsoft Office 2000 MultiLanguage Pack
To access additional page designs in the Letter Wizard for the language of your Word document, install the Microsoft Office 2000 MultiLanguage Pack.
