SYMPTOMS
If you copy a chart in a Microsoft Excel 97 worksheet, and then paste the chart into a Microsoft Word 97 document, the chart may change size in Excel.
CAUSE
This problem occurs if you set the Excel worksheet to a zoom level other than 100 percent (100%).
RESOLUTION
To restore the chart to the correct size, click the worksheet in Excel that contains the chart, or click the name of the worksheet on the Window menu.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
MORE INFORMATION
When you zoom a worksheet in Excel, the actual size of objects contained in the worksheet does not change; only the displayed size changes. Therefore, if you copy a chart contained in a zoomed worksheet and then paste the chart into Word, the pasted chart is displayed at the zoom level of Word. This behavior is by design.
