SYMPTOMS
When you start Microsoft Visio 2002 Service Release 1 (SR-1), you may receive the following error message:
When you click Details (on Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition, press ALT+D), you receive the following message:
NOTE: The actual memory address may vary.
CAUSE
This error may occur when the following conditions are true:
- You are running Microsoft Windows 98 or Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition (SE) as your operating system.
-and-
- Windows is using Ole32.dll version 4.71.3328.0, dated March 29, 1999.
-and-
- Microsoft Visio 2002 SR-1 was installed or applied as a service release (patch), which uses Gdiplus.dll version 3099.
NOTE: Microsoft Visio 2002 Service Release 1 (SR-1) is the current release of the retail product. Additionally, Visio 2002 SR-1 is also available as a download patch that you can apply to an existing installation of Microsoft Visio 2002.
RESOLUTION
Service pack information
This problem is corrected in Visio 2002 Service Pack 2.
