Criticism

Internet Explorer has been criticized by many people for it's poor compliance of web standards and it's support for in-page ActiveX controls, amongst other things such as lack of updates. In recent years, Microsoft has attempted to rectify most of the problems, with releases such as Internet Explorer 8 and Internet Explorer 9. Internet Explorer 9 features HTML5 support.
