Google Chrome was created by Google and was first released to the public as a beta on September 2, 2008 for Windows. As of October 21 2010, the current build of Google Chrome is 7.0.517. Google Chrome OS, an operating system created by Google, is based off of the Google Chrome browser and uses the browser as the main program when using the operating system. The operating systems that supports Google Chrome are Windows (XP SP2 and later), Mac OS X (10.5 and later, Intel only) and Linux.
Usage
As of October 2010, Google Chrome has become the third most used browser worldwide with Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox in the lead.
