Windows NT 4 (4.0.1381) is the fisrt version of Windows NT to feature the Explorer shell.
Editions
Workstation
Windows NT 4 Workstation was designed for general desktop use.
Server
Windows NT 4 Server (Server, Server Enterprise Edition, Terminal Server) were designed to serve webpages to multiple clients using IIS. However, it has been found that the difference between Server and Workstation lied only in the Registry and the missing Server files.
