'''"Longhorn"''' was the codename for planned successor of [[Windows:XP|Windows XP]]. The project was cancelled, and replaced with a new project with similar codename - ''Longhorn Omega-13'', that was renamed to ''Vista'' that became the real successor of [[Windows:XP|XP]]. Early Vista's builds were reffered as just ''Longhorn'' for most of the time and those two projects were often mistaken.
