Windows 95 build 431 is a Beta 3 build of Windows 95.
Installation
Installing from Windows 95 Boot Floppy
1. Prepare Disk with fdisk.exe
, reboot, then format. format.com C:
2. Run setup.exe
from the CD-ROM.
3. If you receive "Upgrade Check Failed" just click the continue button. Accept the default settings and fill in required information then continue to the file copying process. You may also customize the features to be installed.
4. When complete, remove the floppy and reboot.
Changes From Build 347
- Winver.exe is not displaying Windows 4.0 anymore. Beginning with this build it shows Windows 95.
