SYMPTOMS
When an Itanium-based version of Windows Server 2003 is operating under high stress, the kernel may not write registry information to the disk as expected. In this situation, the following event is logged in the System log:
CAUSE
This problem may occur if the system is operating under high stress and if one of the following conditions is true:
- The system memory is exhausted.
- A hardware error occurs.
RESOLUTION
Service pack information
