SYMPTOMS
When you install Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional on a Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) Alpha computer based on reduced instruction set computing (RISC), the computer stops responding, or hangs, during startup.
This occurs while the system is loading the Cwbwdm.sys file on a computer that uses a Crystal ISA Windows Driver Model (WDM) audio driver (CS4232).
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional.
