SYMPTOMSWhen you attempt to use FoxDoc under FoxPro for Windows, the following error message appears and you are returned to FoxPro for Windows: Invalid path or filename CAUSEThis message appears when FoxPro for Windows is being run from a directory that the user has read-only rights to. RESOLUTIONRead/write access rights to the directory where the FOXPROW.EXE file is located must be given to those who need to run FoxDoc because FoxDoc writes temporary files and an initial configuration file to the directory in which FoxPro is located. Steps to Work Around the Problem1. Create a new network server (or share) that gives users full access rights. 2. Copy the following files from the main directory (usually FOXPROW) of the Administrative Installation of FoxPro to the new server or share: FOXDOC.APP FOXDOC.FLL FOXDOC.MSG FOXPROW.EXE PROWORDS.FXD 3. Run FOXPROW.EXE from the new server or share where users have full access rights. Run FOXDOC.APP from this copy of FoxPro.
