Firefox is a free open source web browser made to compete with Microsoft Internet Explorer (now Windows Internet Explorer) starting in late 2003, early 2004 . The latest released version of Firefox is 3.6, and nightly Development builds are being made of 3.7. Firefox has also been in competiton with the new Google Chrome web browser.
Usage

Extensibility
Firefox has always had the ability to use 3rd party add-ons, themes, language packs and plugins. This functionality has existed in previous Mozilla projects such as the Mozilla Suite as well.
