- Microsoft Word for MS-DOS, versions 5.5, 6.0
SUMMARY
You may not be able to extend your selection with the mouse beyond the edges of the screen, or drag and drop or drag and copy items to a location that is beyond the edge of the screen. This occurs if all the following conditions exist:
- Your document window is maximized.
- The ribbon is turned off.
- The ruler is turned off.
- The menu is turned off.
- The status bar is turned off.
- The message bar is turned off.
- The window borders and scroll bars are turned off.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Word version 5.5 and 6.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here as it becomes available.
