SUMMARY
The STEYX() function is a new statistical function included in Microsoft Excel, version 4.0. This function will return the error #DIV/0! if fewer than three data points are used both for the x-values and the y-values.
Page 421 of the version 4.0 "Microsoft Excel Function Reference," states that the STEYX() function returns the standard error of the regression. The function uses the following syntax
=STEYX(known_y's,known_x's)
where known_y's is an array or range of dependent data points and known_x's is an array or range of independent data points.
The document should also include the information that there must be at least three data points for known_y's and known_x's. This is by design of the function.
