WD: Graphic Objects Appear Black in MSDraw/Print Black |
Q95222
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Word for the Macintosh, version 5.0
- Microsoft Word for Windows, versions 2.0, 2.0a, 2.0a-CD, 2.0b, 2.0c, 2.0c-CD
SYMPTOMS
In Word 5.0 for the Macintosh, when you save a document in Word 2.0 for Windows format that contains a graphic image inserted from a vector format, the graphic image likely appears correct when you first open the document in Word for Windows. However, if you double-click the graphic to launch Microsoft Draw, some objects in the graphic (for example, polygons, such as boxes or circles) will appear black. In addition, regardless of whether you ever open the graphic in MS Draw, these same objects appear black when you print the converted document.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Windows Metafile External Converter supplied with Word 5.0 for the Macintosh. This problem was corrected in Word 5.1 for the Macintosh.
