SYMPTOMS
When you enroll a fingerprint for a user profile in a Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 Phone Edition-based device, you experience the following symptoms:
- Sometimes the enrollment process does not exit, and it does not match any of the four fingerprint scans that are made during the enrollment process.
- If the fingerprint is enrolled, it cannot unlock the Communicator 2007 Phone Edition-based device.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because of a fault in the AEEnroll fingerprint driver.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, install the hotfix that is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 Phone Edition.
