APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Expression Media

SYMPTOMS

After you install Microsoft Expression Media for Macintosh on a Mac OS X 10.5-based computer, some dialog boxes in Expression Media may display a shaded text box. This makes it difficult to view any text that you type inside the text box.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, change the background color in Expression Media to a lighter color. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Start Expression Media.
  2. On the Window menu, click View Options.
  3. In the View Options dialog box, click to select the Background check box.
  4. Under Basic colors, select a lighter shade from the color swatch, and then click OK.

Note Although this procedure will work around this problem, these steps must be performed for all existing catalogs. The default background color for new catalogs can be changed to a lighter color when you click Save as Default in the View Options dialog box.
