Script-based commands do not run in Expression Media when Korean is used as the operating system language on a Mac OS X-based computer

SYMPTOMS

When Korean is used as the operating system language on a Mac OS X-based computer, some script-based commands do not run in Microsoft Expression Media. For example, when you click Reveal Plug-ins Folder on the Media menu, you do not see the expected result. Additionally, you do not receive a message or any other feedback.

CAUSE

This issue occurs if the scripts include curly quotation marks. The AppleScript engine does not correctly parse curly quotation marks on a Mac OS X-based computer that is configured to use Korean as the operating system language.

RESOLUTION
