SYMPTOMS

Starting March 30, 2008, daylight saving time (DST) will be extended for the Australian Eastern time zone and for the Australian Central time zone. After this date, you may experience the following problems in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0:

  • When you view appointments or tasks in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Web client or in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Microsoft Office Outlook, the appointments and the tasks are scheduled one hour before or one hour behind the actual scheduled time.
  • Some activities and some resources in the service calendar in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 are scheduled one hour before or one hour behind the actual scheduled time.
  • When you schedule resources by using the service calendar, you experiences issues. For example, a resource that is listed in the calendar is scheduled one hour before or one hour behind the actual scheduled time.


RESOLUTION

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, it is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 update rollup that contains this hotfix.

Installation information

Install this hotfix on computers that are running Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Client and Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Server.

Prerequisites

Removal information
