APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Identity Integration Server 2003 Host Access Management Agent Feature Pack 3

SYMPTOMS

You want to re-enable suspended ACF2 user accounts by setting the ACF2 SUSPEND attribute to False for the suspended user accounts. A Microsoft Identity Integration Server (MIIS) 2003 or ILM (Identity Lifecycle Manager) 2007 export process is started to export the changes to ACF2.

During the next import process, the ACF2 user accounts that were re-enabled still appear in MIIS 2003 or in ILM 2007 as being suspended because the SUSPEND attribute is still set to True. Additionally, you receive the following error message during the import process for each ACF2 user account that has the SUSPEND attribute set to False that was exported:

Exported-change-not-reimported.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the Host Access Management Agent does not correctly import the SUSPEND attribute during the import process.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, it is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next release of the Host Access Management Agent that contains this hotfix.

The usual support costs will apply to additional support questions and issues that do not qualify for the specific update in question.

Prerequisites

You must have Microsoft Identity Integration Server 2003 Service Pack 2 (SP2) or Microsoft Identity Lifecycle Manager 2007 installed before you apply this hotfix.

Restart requirement

You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this hotfix.

Hotfix replacement information

This hotfix does not replace any other hotfixes.

File information

The English version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.

File name File version File size Date Time Platform SP requirement
Acf2ma.dll 3.0.2130.0 73,728 17-Sep-2007 23:16 x86 SP1

After you apply this hotfix, you must update the Hostconfig.xml file. After you update the Hostconfig.xml file, the Host Access Management Agent (HAMA) will correctly import the ACF2 SUSPEND attribute during an import process. To update the Hostconfig.xml file, follow these steps:

  1. At a command prompt, open the MIIS Extensions folder. By default, the folder is the following path:

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Identity Integration Server\Extensions

  2. Run the following command to update the HostConfig.xml file:

    hostconfig -upgrade

STATUS
