The hotfix that is discussed in this article is not available for the Chinese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM or for the Japanese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You run the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 client for Microsoft Office Outlook. When you use Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 to send an e-mail message to a Microsoft Dynamics CRM address book provider (ABP) contact, the e-mail message is undeliverable. When this problem occurs, you receive an e-mail message that contains the following message:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:

  • You have installed hotfix 924079. For more information about hotfix 924079, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

    924079 The Microsoft Dynamics CRM records for e-mail recipients that you selected in the automatic suggestion cache are deleted when you send an e-mail message in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 client for Outlook

  • The e-mail message contains a contact that is listed in the .nk2 cache file.


RESOLUTION

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that this article describes. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.

Removal information
