SYMPTOMS
When you try to use Microsoft Forefront Security for SharePoint to run a manual scan of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, you may experience the following problems:
- The manual scan process cannot clean the SharePoint store.
- Content that is flagged as infected cannot be retrieved and cleaned.
- When Virus Scanning API (VSAPI) is running, VSAPI stops the manual scan if VSAPI determines that a file is infected. The manual scan cannot access the file and act on it by using the user's settings.
- File filtering and keyword filtering cannot act on the content.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
