SYMPTOMS

When you try to print an invoice in Microsoft Office Accounting Professional 2007, in Microsoft Office Accounting Express 2007, or in Microsoft Office Small Business Accounting 2006, you receive a Doctor Watson error message. Additionally, the following error message is logged in the error logs:

Unable to cast COM object of type 'Microsoft.BusinessSolutions.SBA.Interop.Word.ApplicationClass' to interface type 'Microsoft.BusinessSolutions.SBA.Interop.Word._Application'. This operation failed because the QueryInterface call on the COM component for the interface with IID '{00020970-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}' failed due to the following error: No such interface supported (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80004002 (E_NOINTERFACE)).

CAUSE

This problem occurs if Microsoft Office Word is corrupted.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, use the "Detect and Repair" tool in the Add or Remove Programs item in Control Panel. Or, run the Office Diagnostics component in a Microsoft Office program. For more information, click the following article numbers to view the articles in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
