The hotfix that is discussed in this article is not available for the Chinese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM or for the Japanese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

SYMPTOMS

When you use a filter to find a sales-territory item in the Look Up Records page in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0, all items are displayed unexpectedly in the Available records box.

This problem occurs when you create a filter to find sales-territory items in the Advanced Find view.

RESOLUTION

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, it is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 service pack that contains this hotfix.

Installation information

Install this hotfix on computers that are running Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Server or the Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Outlook.

Prerequisites

Restart requirement

If you are prompted to restart the computer, you must restart the computer after you apply this hotfix.

Removal information

To remove this hotfix from a computer that is running Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Microsoft Windows XP, or Microsoft Windows 2000, use Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel. System administrators can use the Spuninst.exe tool to remove this hotfix from a computer that is running Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, or Windows 2000.

MORE INFORMATION

If the value in the Value data field for the IgnoreCustomEntityFilterQF DWORD reverts to 0, Microsoft Dynamics CRM displays the deactivated record again when you use the Quick Find view.
