SYMPTOMS

When you play audio on a Zune 30 GB device by using the shuffle setting, the audio may not play in a random order.

THINGS TO TRY

  1. Connect the Zune device to the computer that has the current Zune software installed, and then update the device to the current device software version.   2. Play audio with the shuffle setting turned on. To do this, use one of the following methods:
    • Press the center of the Zune pad when a song is playing, and then turn on the shuffle setting.
    • Select one of the following items on the music menu, and then select shuffle all:
      • songs
      • genres
      • albums
      • artists
    • On the main menu, select settings, select music, and then turn on the shuffle setting.
    Play your favorite audio tracks.


MORE INFORMATION

When the shuffle setting is turned on, the shuffle symbol ([GRAPHIC: shuffle symbol]) appears in the lower-right corner of the "now playing" screen.
